Very enjoyable in the perfect location

Compared to the “Clevelander” party hotel next door this is a much quieter hotel offering better standards with superior rooms to the Clevelander. I stayed a few nights at the Clevelander and a couple of nights at the Essex.

My stay was made superb by the excellent guest services afforded to me by Godfrey. He sorted everything out aided by his manager and my stay was excellent. The lobby area is huge and very clean and my bedroom was large and well appointed and very clean.

The room air condition worked perfectly - it was needed at South beach was hot!

The situation is excellent - just a few steps away from Ocean Drive which is the best area in South Beach.

I would return.

I’ve had the pleasure of staying at this hotel eight different times, and every single visit has been special and memorable. The staff here are truly amazing always professional, welcoming, and attentive. From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave, they make you feel valued and cared for. Whether it’s offering water, towels, or simply greeting you with a warm smile, their hospitality never goes unnoticed. The hotel itself is always spotless and smells wonderful, creating such an inviting and comfortable atmosphere.
During my most recent stay last week, I received some exciting news. Someone who has always taken such great care of us at the front desk, Joel, has now become the hotel manager. Hearing this made us incredibly happy. It’s inspiring to see someone who started from the bottom work their way up to the top. Joel truly deserves this role and so much more because his customer service, professionalism, and dedication have always stood out. My cousins and I continue to return to this hotel and recommend it to many others, and everyone we refer always has wonderful things to say about their experience. Thank you again, Joel and the entire staff, for always making us feel comfortable, welcomed, and right at home. It truly feels like family every time we stay here…

The quality of service is excellent.

This is the second time I return to this hotel, and the attention is always excellent. This time, Miss Maura assisted me with my check-in, providing excellent attention and courtesy, 100% recommendable, with an ideal location to go everywhere. 100% recommendable

My stay at the Essex House n Miami was great due to Joesph & Joel

I was originally booked to stay at the Clevelander for my birthday, but Priceline messed up my reservation, so I was helped by Joseph at the front desk and he was able to place me in a great room right around the block at the Essex House which by the way smells great al through the hotel and is literally 2mins from the beach. He was great, very understanding and very helpful to the point the next time i will be contacting him directly to book any future trips to Miami. Once we were set at the Essex House we were also attended to by another great gentleman by the name of Joel who was also great and very helpful and understanding the customer service received from Joseph and Joel was EXCEPTIONAL and very much appreciated! We stood in from E5 which was suite 5 and the room was huge, very clean, smelled good and felt as if we were home which was also great. The area is top tier everything is walking distance and being around the corner from ocean drive was perfect because late at night the noise level is perfect to the point we got good nights of sleep. Other then that my experience was good thanks to the service provided, so thank you Joseph and Joel we look forward to coming back just off the strength of you guys.

This is a second stay for me and my suite was extra special. The classic deco style with updated comforts was wonderful. The location was perfect and surprisingly quiet. They sure do not build them like they used to. Check-in was easy and Godfrey went above and beyond to make sure I would have everything I needed for my stay. I will definitely be back again!
